IT Specialist (Temporary Position: 24th November 2025 – 14 August 2026)

Doctors Without Borders (Leger Uten Grenser/MSF) is seeking a skilled and passionate IT Specialist for a temporary position from 24th November 2025 to 14 August 2026, based in Oslo. This role requires immediate availability, and applicants must already be residing in Norway with a valid residence and work permit.
Doctors Without Borders is an independent, impartial emergency medical aid organization committed to saving lives and reducing suffering wherever the need is greatest. You’ll join a diverse, dedicated team whose expertise directly supports lifesaving medical work around the world.
As an IT Specialist, you will play a key role in ensuring the efficiency, reliability, and security of our IT systems, networks, and infrastructure. Your expertise will directly support our mission and help us make a lasting impact. The IT Specialist will be part of a small IT team, and report to the Head of IT.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage core IT systems, inventory, and vendor relationships.
- Monitor IT services, incidents, and requests in line with industry standards.
- Maintain Microsoft tools, platforms, and infrastructure (including cloud).
- Provide high-quality IT support and resolve issues efficiently.
- Ensure systems comply with security policies and standards.
- Implement cybersecurity measures and best practices.
- Collaborate across departments as a technical expert.
- Document processes and produce management reports.
- Stay up to date with tech trends and propose innovations.
- Be available for emergency off-hours support when required.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on IT experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Certifications in Azure and Microsoft 365 (or equivalent).
- Experience with server, network, and infrastructure management (cloud/on-prem).
- Strong focus on information security and ITSM practices.
- Familiarity with AV systems and meeting room technology.
- Excellent documentation and communication skills.
- Proficiency in English (B2 level); Norwegian is an advantage.
- Experience with supporting systems with accessibility in mind is an advantage.
What We Offer:
- Salary: Salary is set according to our Salary Policy, Grade 15 - ranging from NOK 51, 895 to 57, 286 per month depending on experience.
- Location: Work from our Oslo office, with the option for home office one day per week.
- Contract type: 100 %, from 24th November 2025 to 14 August 2026.
