IT Support Technician (Temporary Position: 10th November 2025 – 28th December 2026)

Doctors Without Borders (Leger Uten Grenser/MSF) is seeking a skilled and passionate IT Support Technician for a temporary position from 10 November 2025 to 28 December 2026, based in Oslo. This role requires immediate availability, and applicants must already be residing in Norway with a valid residence and work permit.

As an IT Support Technician, you will play a key role in ensuring the efficiency, reliability, and security of our systems, networks, and infrastructure by providing day-to-day service, support, and maintenance of our IT systems. Your skill set and expertise will directly support our mission and help us make a lasting impact. The IT Support Technician will be part of a small IT team and report to the Head of IT.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide IT support and services to all staff and guests in the MSF Norway offices, for all systems and physical IT infrastructure.
- Set up, install, and configure new computers and tablets; provide support and troubleshooting; perform maintenance and updates on a regular basis.
- Maintain and update all IT equipment inventory on the MSF asset management system.
- Provide technical support during MSF Norway events and meetings; maintain meeting room systems and audio-visual technology, such as projectors, TVs, speakers, cameras, etc.
- IT and network cabling (meeting rooms and workstations).
- Provide Level Two IT support during the absence of the Systems and Network Administrator, by following set guidelines, policies, and procedures.
- Support the IT team in maintaining systems and documentation, and actively participate in IT projects and relevant cross-departmental projects.
- Ensure information security policies and procedures are followed across all systems that store and process MSF data, and across all IT work areas.
Your Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience with the functioning of IT systems, including knowledge of operating systems and applications, as well as hardware and software troubleshooting, and user support.
- Bachelor’s degree within IT, or equivalent work experience.
- Industry-standard certifications such as Microsoft, etc.
- Service-oriented: responds empathetically to clients and understands their concerns and needs, while following IT Service Management processes.
- A very good learning attitude and willingness to build an IT career.
- Good knowledge of:
- Windows 11
- Microsoft Office Desktop Suite
- Microsoft Teams
- PC and other IT equipment hardware
- Active Directory
- Office 365 Suite
- Helpdesk systems such as Freshservice, Topdesk, etc.
- Available to perform tasks occasionally outside office hours.
- Good communication skills.
- Proficiency in English (level B2); Norwegian is an advantage.
- Experience with supporting systems with accessibility in mind is an advantage.
What We Offer
- Salary: Salary is set according to our Salary Policy, Grade 14 (ranging from NOK 47,845 to 53,236 per month depending on experience).
- Location: Work from our Oslo office, with the option for home office one day per week.
- Contract type: 100%, from 10 November 2025 to 28 December 2026.
