Project Manager - Benchmarking Unit
Are you a Remuneration Analyst looking for a new challenge?
The Intersectional Benchmarking Unit of MSF Norway is looking for a temporary Project Manager. Contract duration is 6 months with expected start date in March 2026, with possibility of extension.
About the Role:
The Project Manager helps Remuneration Analysts carry out labour market comparisons, salary surveys, and related reports so MSF programmes can stay informed about current local pay practices. This role oversees the full lifecycle of assigned salary survey projects — managing timelines, ensuring basic quality checks, and providing ongoing technical support and guidance to Remuneration Analysts. The person will be part of an international team and contribute in this capacity to the overall compensation & benefits decision-making in the MSF movement.
Responsibilities:
Coordinate salary survey projects across MSF country programmes and sections, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to protocols.
Define project 'Terms of Reference' and set objectives/KPIs in collaboration with stakeholders.
Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting support to Remuneration Analysts.
Manage project timelines and deliverables, ensuring stakeholder engagement and proper archiving.
Perform quality control checks on remuneration reports.
Deliver reliable market data and insights to inform compensation strategies.
Maintain effective communication with stakeholders across MSF entities.
Analyse economic and labour market data for evidence-based decision-making.
Document benchmarking processes for organisational learning and improvement.
Job requirements:
Minimum Bachelor degree in Economics/Finance, HR or similar studies
Essential working experience as Remuneration Analyst in at least two benchmarking projects
Desirable working experience with related Comp & Ben or HR within MSF
Written and spoken English at level C2 is essential. Knowledge of French, Spanish, Portuguese, Russian or Arabic are desirable.
Proficiency in MS Excel and Word are essential
Good analytical skills, at ease with figures and economic data
Excellent communication skills and able to express complex information in a clear and respectful way.
We offer:
Temporary, full‑time (100%) six‑month contract, with expected start date in March 2026 and the possibility of extension.
Flexible working arrangements and remote-friendly options.
Location: Oslo or (any) other location, due to remote character of the job. The hosting policy and labour law of the respective MSF section or country applies.
Norway: Salary according to MSFNO Salary Policy (51, 895 NOK - 57,286 NOK per month) / Other Partner Sections: In line with MSF Level 15
For administrative and hosting reasons, candidates based in Norway or the Nordic region are preferred. However, all qualified Remuneration Analysts will be equally considered, and we warmly encourage applicants worldwide to apply. The final job offer will be coordinated between MSF Norway and the relevant partner section in the candidate’s country of residence.
At MSF, we value diversity and seek to have an inclusive and accessible work environment. We encourage all individuals who have the required qualifications to apply, independently of their ethnic, national or cultural background, age, gender, sexual orientation, religious belief, disabilities, or other aspects of their identity.
