Doctors Without Borders (MSF) saves lives where the needs are greatest. In over 70 countries we provide medical assistance to people affected by conflict, epidemics, disasters, or exclusion from healthcare. Fundraising is an important activity for us, since we do not seek government funding and financial support from private individuals is crucial.
The position is responsible for supervising several fundraising projects around the country. Through our fundraising activities, Doctors Without Borders wants to meet the Norwegian people face to face, give them information about how we work, and provide an opportunity to support the work we do in our international projects.
Main responsibilities
- Identify the needs and the resources needed for Direct Dialogue activities in several projects nationwide.
- In cooperation with the Direct Dialogue Manager, plan and implement necessary action to reach objectives.
- Support for the regional office structures (logistics, materials, installations) and routines (administration, reports, and finance).
- Effectively apply our methodology and enforce high project standards.
- Line management responsibility for Project Coordinators in our permanent fundraising projects.
- Collaborate with the Direct Dialogue Manager to hire and train project coordinators.
- Challenge and inspire Project Coordinators to develop and attain goals while serving as a role model and mentor.
- Identifies opportunities for improvement and makes constructive suggestions for change.
Your qualifications and experience
- Higher education and experience in sales and marketing.
- Minimum 2 years of work experience with leadership and project management.
- Good management and leadership skills.
- Experience in Fundraising - Street & Door to Door.
- Structured, proactive, and result-oriented.
- Good communication skills.
- Motivated and committed.
- Demonstrates flexibility in adapting to changes and handling unexpected responsibilities effectively.
- Interest in humanitarian work.
- Fluent in written and spoken English (at a B2 level or higher) and preferably has Norwegian language skills as well.
We Offer:

- Salary according to Doctors Without Borders salary policy, salary scale 17 - 724,678 - 789,486 NOK per year, depending on work experience.
- Desired start date: 2nd December 2024.
- Main workplace: Hausmannsgate 6, 0181 Oslo.
- Contract type: permanent, 100%.
