Doctors Without Borders is looking for Project Coordinator in Stavanger!
Doctors Without Borders saves lives where the needs are greatest. In over 70 countries we provide medical assistance to people affected by conflict, epidemics, disasters, or exclusion from healthcare. Fundraising is an important activity for us, since we do not seek government funding and financial support from private individuals is crucial.
Through our fundraising activities, we aim to meet the Norwegian public face to face, provide them with information on how we operate, and, an opportunity to support the work we do in the field. We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled coordinator to take responsibility for coordinating fundraising activities in Stavanger and the surrounding areas. Our goal is to recruit as many new regular donors as possible since funds from private donors ensure our neutrality and independence, enabling us to act swiftly in times of disaster.
This is a 100% permanent position, starting from May 2025.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, execute, and lead fundraising activities in Stavanger and the surrounding areas:
- Coordinate, supervise, and participate in all activities
- Lead and have personnel responsibility for a team of fundraisers (8-10 FTEs), including recruitment, training, follow-up, and evaluation
- Reporting, budget monitoring, and result responsibility for the project
- Geographical responsibility for activities, logistics, and transport
- The position involves extensive travel with overnight stays in Norway, approximately 50 travel days
Qualifications:
- Some experience in fundraising/sales, personnel and project management, including administration and reporting
- Higher relevant education, preferably in sales/marketing, management, and/or HR
- Experience in fundraising with Doctors Without Borders, or similar organizations is an advantage

- Motivational
- Flexible and solution oriented
- Good understanding of Microsoft Office
- High proficiency in English (level C1), Norwegian is an advantage

- Conditions based on our salary policy level 16: 652 678 - 717 486 NOK (54 390 - 59 791 NOK per month)
